Suzi studied Psychology and Speech Communication at the University of Minnesota and earned her Master’s degree in Speech Communication from Penn State, where her thesis focused on adapting and directing a Readers Theatre production.

An award-winning speaker and the author of two inspirational books, Suzi coached the Penn State Speech Team to achieve its goals while also teaching Public Speaking and Oral Interpretation of Literature.
An open and inclusive view of the world, and of education, led Suzi to homeschool her two daughters; she encouraged their participation in theatre, singing, writing, and speaking as they grew.

Passionate about singing, Suzi has been singing all her life: at home, at school, and later in community theatre and the community. She sang and played with a local ukulele group and she currently sings in a community choir. Suzi has been a song leader and member of her church choir for 25 years. While attending college, she was a member of the University of Minnesota Symphonic Chorus.
